THURSDAY 23 FEBRUARY 7.30 pm Cleveland Newman Circle invite all to attend a talk by Dr George Herring on ‘The Oxford Movement: its historical and contemporary significance’. The talk will consider among other points the Oxford Movement’s connection with Cardinal Newman and his conversion to Catholicism.

FRIDAY 9 MARCH 10.30 pm Members of our Parish have been invited to join people from Christ Church Great Ayton who visit the sick and housebound for a joint act of worship in the Church. The invitation which has been particularly sent to the Parish Conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul and similar groups at the Methodist Church and Society of Friends in Great Ayton is addressed to any members of our parish who visit the housebound or care for the sick in anyway – all welcome.

SUNDAY 11 MARCH This year’s Mission Appeal will be made at all Masses in the parish this weekend by Sister Maureen Donohoe of the Columban Sisters.

WEDNESDAY 16 MAY 7.45pm The Bishop of Whitby, The Right Reverend Dr Martin Warner, who before he became a Bishop was Administrator of the Anglican Shrine at Walsingham will speak in St Joseph’s Hall on the subject “Walsingham: House of God and Gate of Heaven.” Refreshments will be available from 7.30 pm. Do please make a special effort to come and hear Bishop Martin who is both our neighbour because he lives in Stokesley and a partner in the endeavour to seek the reunion of all Christians.
