Education and Formation

Adult Formation:

Most months of the year opportunities for members of the parish to grow and develop in their understanding of the faith are provided by the Adult Formation Planning Group. Please contact Steven Merckx for more details.

Schools:

We do not have a Catholic School located in the parish so our Parish Primary School is St Bernadette’s at Nunthorpe (Headteacher: Mrs Mary Cobbold 310198) our Parish

Comprehensive School is  Trinity Catholic College in Middlesbrough (Headteacher: Mr Peter Coady 298101) and our Sixth Form College is St Mary’s College, Middlesbrough (Principal: Mr Don Lillistone 814680)

Religious Instruction and First Holy Communion Preparation:

for young people take places in St Joseph’s Hall on Tuesdays from 4.00 – 5.00 pm. All young people of primary school age in the parish are welcome to come along and share in these sessions.

Children’s Liturgy:

On alternate Sundays in both St Joseph’s and St Margaret’s a Children’s Liturgy is organised. This is aimed at children below the age of First Holy Communion. The children come into Mass with their parents in the normal way and then taken go out for their own activities during the first half of the Mass.
